Privacy Policy

Who we are

“Zoracle” (“we”, “us”) is an independent UK-based astrology service. The full platform — currently in build — gives instant question-and-answer readings calculated from your birth chart, current transits, and (where relevant) astrocartography lines. While we build, we run free promotions and signup bonuses delivered by email; these change over time. The data controller for the information described below is Zoracle. Contact: hello@zoracle.app.

What we collect

When you sign up to the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address.

When you request a free reading promotion (such as the current love map), we collect:

  • Your email address (and first name, if you provide one).
  • Your birth date, birth time (or 12:00 if you don’t know it), and birth place.
  • Any specific places, questions, or topic inputs the promotion asks for.
  • Whether you opted in to be on the launch waitlist.

When you create an account on the full Zoracle platform (when it launches), we additionally store your saved birth chart (so you don’t have to re-enter it for each reading) and the questions and readings associated with your account.

We also receive standard request metadata from your browser (IP address, user-agent) when you load our site. We use it for security and basic abuse prevention only.

Why we collect it

  • Email: to send you the personalised reading you asked for, the occasional confirmation, and (if you opted in) one launch announcement.
  • Birth data and reading inputs: to calculate your astrological chart and reading. That’s the only thing it’s used for.
  • Questions and readings (when accounts are live): to deliver the answers you ask for and to keep your reading history in your account.

Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of your consent— you submitted the form because you wanted us to. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@zoracle.app and we’ll delete everything. Quality monitoring (see below) is carried out on the basis of legitimate interest— improving accuracy is core to what Zoracle is.

Quality monitoring

We may review questions and the readings our system produces, in order to improve accuracy and quality. When we do this, we look at the question and the answer without your identity attached— we don’t see your email or name alongside your question. Access is limited to Zoracle and never shared externally.

How long we keep it

Indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it. When the full Zoracle platform launches, we’ll let you create an account that keeps your chart for ongoing use. If you don’t want that, email hello@zoracle.app and we’ll wipe your record.

Where your data is stored

Our database is hosted by Supabase in the EU (eu-west-2). Our website is hosted by Vercel, which has servers in multiple regions including the United States. When data flows to a Vercel server outside the UK, it does so under Standard Contractual Clauses (the UK ICO’s recognised mechanism for international transfers). Email sending is done by Resend, which is EU-compliant.

Who we share it with

No-one outside our service. We don’t sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. The operational sub-processors that handle tools we use to run the service:

  • Supabase — stores your record (database hosted in eu-west-2).
  • Resend — sends transactional email (auto-replies, your reading).
  • Vercel — hosts the website.
  • ImprovMX — forwards mail sent to hello@zoracle.app to our inbox.

These providers process data on our instructions only. They’re bound by their own privacy commitments and standard data-processing agreements.

Data breaches

If a breach happens that’s likely to affect your rights, we’ll notify the UK Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours and, where required, contact you directly with what happened, what we’re doing about it, and what you can do.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Have it deleted (“right to erasure”).
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Get a copy in a portable format.
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we’re mishandling your data.

Marketing email

When you submit a promotion form (such as the love map), the box for “email me when the full platform launches” is pre-ticked. You can untick it before submitting. After signing up, you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@zoracle.app. We’ll only send launch and service-update emails — never marketing for unrelated products.

Cookies and local storage

We use a tiny amount of essentialbrowser storage — enough to keep you signed in to the admin area (if you’re an admin) and to remember your draft when you’re composing an email. We don’t set tracking cookies, run analytics, or use third-party advertising scripts. There’s nothing to opt in or out of for now. If we add analytics later, we’ll add a consent banner first.

Children

Zoracle isn’t intended for children under 16. If you’re under 16, please don’t submit your data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and email anyone on the waitlist before any change that affects them.
